BRYAN RICHARD
DIRECTOR
Bryan Richard is an experienced business development and legal-technical specialist who bridges law, institutional capacity building, and strategic growth for law firms and legal institutions. He served as Head of Business Development at Skrine in Malaysia and previously led BD at the Asian International Arbitration Centre for five years. Bryan spent five years with the U.S. Department of Justice as a Legal Specialist / RLA Manager, working with OPDAT as the Resident Legal Advisor to Malaysia and as the East Asia & Pacific Regional Legal Advisor for Cybercrime. He provides legal-technical assistance on bilateral and regional efforts to strengthen investigation and prosecution capacity for complex transnational crimes—including counterterrorism, anti-money laundering, human trafficking, counterproliferation, anti-corruption, wildlife trafficking, and cybercrime—and advises on rule-of-law initiatives. Bryan also coordinates training programs and expert consultations for law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, central banks, and civil society. His combined background in high-level legal assistance and BD strategy gives him proven expertise in crafting growth plans, client engagement strategies, and institutional partnerships tailored to the ethical and operational needs of law firms and legal institutions.
ALIX POVEY
DIRECTOR
Alix is a seasoned business development and programme-management professional who strengthens legal practices and dispute-resolution institutions across Asia and beyond. Currently Director of Business Development at Georgiou Partnership and an experienced mediator-chambers manager, they previously were COO of Resolution Chambers and led practice development in arbitration at Pinsent Masons and partnership development at the University of Law. She spent 15 years working in Business Development and administration for the Vis East Moot. She designs and delivers fundraising and proposal strategies, training and events, data-driven reporting, and operational plans for lawyers, barristers, arbitrators and mediators. She is actively involved with ArbitralWomen, the Hong Kong Legal Walk committee and Pro Bono HK. Alix champions diversity and inclusion and is regularly consulted on growth and partnership strategies by firms and institutions across Asia, Africa and Europe.
